EasyPlast: Automatic Premade Bag Inserting

The EasyPlast is a compact and highly efficient bag-in-box-machine that automatically places premade EasyOpen bags into boxes, crates, or bins. By working with premade bags instead of producing bags from roll stock, the EasyPlast eliminates the need for cutting and sealing. This results in a simpler, more reliable packaging process with less maintenance and higher uptime.

Designed to handle a wide variety of bag and box sizes, the EasyPlast combines flexibility with speed, placing up to 25 bags per minute. Thanks to the use of premade EasyOpen bags, manufacturers benefit from lower material consumption, reduced labour, and maximum operational efficiency. The result is a cost-effective packaging solution that delivers perfectly positioned bags, every time.

4 steps

How it works

Step 1

Product carrier input

Your erected boxes (crates, buckets) are fed into the EasyPlast.

Step 2

Bag opening

During the box input a prefabricated bag is picked up by a vacuum gripper. Thanks to the EasyOpen system only one bag side is picked up while the other stays into the bag store.

Step 3

Bag spreading

The spreading unit takes over the bag from the bag store. In a downward movement the two spreading plates place the bag tightly over the box corners.

Step 4

Bag inserting

While placing the bag, two folding bars move into the box to position the bag tightly in the box corners. In this way the amount of enclosed air between bag and box is minimized.

Frequently asked questions about the EasyPlast

What is the EasyPlast?

The EasyPlast is a compact stand-alone bag inserter that automatically places prefabricated EasyOpen bags into boxes, crates or bins. It is designed for companies that already have erected boxes and want to automate the bag inserting process.

Which industries is the EasyPlast suitable for?

The EasyPlast is suitable for industries such as processing, meat, fish, poultry, bakery products, dairy, fruit and vegetables, powders, pet food and industrial applications where products require protective bag-in-box packaging.

How many boxes can the EasyPlast process per minute?

The EasyPlast processes up to 25 boxes, crates or bins per minute, depending on the packaging dimensions and the liner bag specifications, such as film thickness and material.

Which box sizes can the EasyPlast handle?

The machine processes boxes from approximately 200 × 200 × 60 mm up to 620 × 450 × 450 mm as standard. Extended frame versions are available for box lengths up to 800 mm and higher box variants.

Which bag types are compatible with the EasyPlast?

The EasyPlast is designed for Niverplast EasyOpen bags and can process film thicknesses from approximately 10 microns to over 200 microns, depending on the application.

How long does it take to change over to another box or bag size?

A size changeover take only 3 to 5 minutes, allowing manufacturers to switch quickly between different production runs with minimal downtime.

Can the EasyPlast run continuously?

Yes. The rotating dual bag magazine allows one compartment to be refilled while the other continues supplying bags, enabling continuous production without stopping the machine. An optional four-sided magazine increases capacity to approximately 1,000 bags, depending on film thickness.

Why use EasyOpen bags?

Premade EasyOpen bags make bag-in-box packaging faster, cleaner and more reliable. Because the bags are already pre-cut and pre-sealed, the machine does not need to cut or seal film during production. This means less waste, fewer wear parts, lower maintenance and less downtime.

Every bag is made to fit the box or crate, ensuring consistent placement and smooth product loading. You use every bag you buy, with no roll cores, no leftover film and no trimming loss. EasyOpen bags can also often be produced with thinner film, reducing material usage and supporting a lower total cost per well-placed bag.

How does the EasyPlast affect the total cost of bag-in-box packaging?

The EasyPlast can help reduce the total cost per well-placed bag by using premade EasyOpen bags. Because these bags are already cut and sealed, the machine does not need cutting blades, sealing units or roll film handling. This means fewer wear parts, less maintenance and less downtime.

Every bag is made to fit the box or crate, which supports accurate placement and smooth product loading. There are also no roll cores, no leftover film and no trimming losses. In many applications, thinner film can be used as well, helping to reduce material usage.

The result is a simpler, more reliable packaging process with less waste, higher uptime and lower hidden production costs.

How is the EasyPlast operated?

The EasyPlast is operated through a user-friendly 15-inch touchscreen HMI with recipe management, machine settings, visual diagnostics and step-by-step fault guidance. This makes daily operation straightforward for production staff.

Because the EasyPlast uses proven and relatively simple technology, operators can quickly learn how to start, stop, monitor and adjust the machine. Before commissioning, Niverplast provides training so your team can operate the system safely, efficiently and with minimal effort.

Is remote support available?

Yes. Every EasyPlast comes standard with an IXON router for secure remote diagnostics, support and software updates. This enables Niverplast specialists to assist quickly when needed.

As part of our service offering, customers can also use Niverplast’s DAMORE platform to monitor live machine data, OEE performance and historical production information. This helps improve machine insight, uptime and overall packaging performance.

Can the EasyPlast be integrated into an existing production line?

Yes. The EasyPlast can be integrated into existing production lines as well as new packaging setups. Thanks to its flexible design, standard machine interfaces and the possibility to configure the system to your specific process, the EasyPlast can be adapted to fit your layout, product flow and required capacity.

What optional features are available?

The EasyPlast can be equipped with options such as a four-sided bag magazine, flap-folding unit for boxes, an extended frame for larger boxes and a bag magazine integrated into the inspection door for installations with limited floor space.

Why choose the EasyPlast over manual bag inserting?

The EasyPlast increases production consistency, reduces labour requirements, improves hygiene, minimizes bag damage and ensures every bag is perfectly positioned. Its compact design, quick changeovers and low operating costs make it one of the most efficient stand-alone bag inserters available.

Why choose premade bags instead of bags from a roll?

Premade EasyOpen bags offer consistent quality, less waste and higher uptime. Because the bags are already sealed and cut, the machine does not need to cut or seal film during production. This reduces maintenance and allows continuous operation.
