Two-sided robotic crate stacking and sealing

In this automated packaging line, a robot de-stacks crates containing open bags with product onto a conveyor in groups of maximum 4. The crates are then transported to a customized VarioSeal, which automatically lifts the lids, seals the bags with product and applies the lid. After that, the finished crates are stacked again to the other pallet position.

Thanks to smart sensor technology, the system detects whether a layer contains one, two, three or four crates. The robot automatically adjusts its gripper to pick up and place the correct number of crates.
